Introducing Jan Olli

Jan is a highly skilled and creative artist. She has been a member of Woodhorn Matters since - "for ages!"

She has distinctive and recognisable style of rug making. Her mats are on display in St Mary's Inn, Stannington, Northumberland. NE61 6BL and also Coquetdale Arts Centre Gallery and Studio, Coquetdale Art Gallery, Front Street, Rothbury, Northumberland.NE65 7TZ

Jan's mats - which are truly works of art, are much sort after. They involve traditional textile techniques with a contemporary design twist - making a unique gift to be treasured.

 The title of the proggy mat in the picture is "Segments"  Size is 19" x 30"  ( 47.5cms x 75cms) It is wool worked into hessian, and made on a traditional frame priced at £60.00. The photo shows it being worked from the reverse side of the mat.
